Buenos Aires, Jan 21 (NA) – The Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC) held a meeting this Wednesday with the technical teams of the head of the La Libertad Avanza (LLA) senators' bloc, Patricia Bullrich, to discuss the labor reform bill, for which they expressed their support and also raised objections to some of its articles. 'Currently, the technical teams of the institutions are working to soon present proposals that can reconcile what is proposed in the Executive's initiative with our point of view,' stated the head of the chamber, Natalio Mario Grinman. In this regard, he said he shares 'the spirit of the project focused on adapting legislation to the changes that social and technological transformations impose on the labor market, and on providing greater predictability to labor relations.' And he insisted that 'a modernization is necessary not only to favor the generation of formal and quality employment, but also to contribute to competitiveness and the overall dynamism of the economy.' During the meeting, which also included other entities, the CAC stated that the Executive's initiative contains 'very positive aspects, such as those related to clarifications in indemnification matters, the update rate of labor credits, the minimum provision of services during the exercise of forceful measures, and the consideration of new hiring modalities.' However, the entity also raised objections to certain points, as reported in a CAC communiqué accessed by the Argentine News Agency. 'Out of a project of almost 200 articles, we expressed specific observations on a few of them,' noted the head of the CAC. After the meeting, Grinman gave a 'positive assessment' and reaffirmed the chamber's commitment to the need to modernize labor legislation,' it was stated.
